About Bookora

Bookora is a booking platform for appointment-based businesses. Behrouz Hosseini operates Bookora. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@bookora.dk.

Whose information we process

Bookora provides the platform to tenant businesses. Each tenant decides why and how it uses customer, booking, and journal information in its workspace. That tenant is responsible for its own customer-facing privacy information and lawful use of that information. Bookora processes that workspace information to provide, secure, maintain, and support the platform.

Bookora is independently responsible for information needed to operate its own website, accounts, security, support, and legal obligations.

Information processed in the platform

Depending on how a tenant uses Bookora, this can include account and staff information, tenant and branch details, customer contact details, services, appointments, availability, booking status, communications, operational notes, and uploaded files. Some tenants may use the platform for information that needs additional protection. Access is controlled by the tenant's roles and permissions.

We also process technical and security information such as sign-in activity, sessions, IP and device-related security data, audit records, request logs, and error correlation identifiers. This helps prevent misuse, investigate incidents, and operate the service reliably.

Google Calendar and Microsoft Calendar connections

Calendar connections are optional. A user must explicitly choose to connect their own Google Calendar or Microsoft calendar from Bookora Settings.

For Google Calendar, Bookora requests the calendar.events permission. For Microsoft, Bookora requests delegated calendar permission. These permissions allow Bookora to create, update, and remove the calendar events needed to keep the connected user's calendar aligned with Bookora bookings they are entitled to receive.

When a connection is enabled, Bookora stores encrypted authorization tokens and the external event identifiers required for synchronization. Calendar events contain booking details such as the booked time, service, branch, and staff information. A tenant can choose whether customer names are included in those events. Bookora does not sell calendar data or use it for advertising.

A user can disconnect a calendar at any time in Settings. Disconnecting removes the stored connection and stops future synchronization. Events already created in an external calendar remain under that calendar provider and can be removed there by the user.

Why we use information

We use information to provide booking, account, calendar-sync, notification, support, security, and service-improvement functions; to meet legal obligations; and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims where necessary. Where a tenant controls the information, the tenant determines the relevant legal basis for its use.

Sharing and international transfers

Information is shared only with service providers that are needed to run Bookora, such as hosting, email delivery, and an external calendar provider chosen by the user. Google receives calendar requests only after a user connects Google Calendar. Microsoft receives calendar requests only after a user connects Microsoft Calendar. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices.

Some providers may process information outside the EEA. Where required, Bookora uses appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

Retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. A tenant can request export or deletion of its workspace data through Bookora support, subject to legal retention requirements and documented backup procedures. Calendar connection tokens are removed when the user disconnects the provider.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information. If your information was entered by a tenant business, contact that tenant first. For Bookora account, website, or calendar-connection information, contact info@bookora.dk. You may also complain to the relevant data-protection authority, including Datatilsynet in Denmark.

We may update this notice when Bookora or applicable requirements change. The current version and effective date are published on this page.
